Meet the Lucky Paws BCS Team: Dedicated to Providing Expert Pet Care
When people book with Lucky Paws BCS, they're not just hiring "a pet sitter" — they're gaining an entire team of people who genuinely love what they do. I get asked all the time who's actually showing up to care for pets around Bryan/College Station, so I wanted to introduce you to the humans behind the visits.
Our Standard, Across the Board
Every single member of our team — no exceptions — is Pet CPR and First Aid certified through ProTrainings, trained in pet behavior, and completes ongoing coursework through FetchFind covering pet care, bite prevention, and safety. We're also currently working toward becoming Fear Free Certified as a team, and we're proud members of Pet Sitters International. Everyone goes through a federal background and driving record check through Checkr before they ever step foot in a client's home.
That's the floor, not the ceiling — because honestly, the personalities and life experience each person brings are what really set our team apart.
Savannah & Bryan — Founders

I've been a hobby pet sitter since 2010, but it wasn't until 2018 that I left my EMS career behind to build Lucky Paws BCS into what it is today. Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember — I grew up raising donkeys, caring for a pot-bellied pig, and was heavily involved in FFA and ag classes in high school. My husband, Bryan, works as a critical care paramedic in the Conroe/Houston area, and when I'm not caring for your pets, you can usually find me chasing my kids, going for a run, or meeting people at a local networking event.
Khara
Khara actually started out as a Lucky Paws BCS client before she joined our team back in 2021 as our very first employee — she knows firsthand what it feels like to trust someone with your pet. She's a rescue mom herself and spends her free time cheering on her stepsons at their games and curled up with a good book.
Debbie

Debbie spent years as a high school math teacher before bringing that same patience and structure to pet care. She's owned animals since she was nine years old and has a soft spot for fantasy novels and cross-stitching. In June 2025, Debbie was promoted to Team Trainer, and she's now the one helping every new hire get up to speed.
Sarah
Sarah wears a few hats — she's a fellow entrepreneur and a certified behavioral trainer, running her own client base while also caring for pets with us. She holds a Dog Training and Animal Behavior Certificate from Starmark Academy and is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, so if your dog has a quirk or two, she's exactly who you want on the team.
Mary Grace

Mary Grace splits her time between Appalachian State University and family here in the BCS area. She's spent about six years in and around the pet care world and dreams of a future in wildlife conservation — so it's safe to say animals are her lifelong passion, not just a job.
Jenise

Jenise recently relocated to Texas and brings a genuinely impressive range of animal experience with her — her own household includes a dog, a cat, a snake, a gecko, and a tortoise. If your pet is a little outside the ordinary, Jenise is more than up for it.
Taryn

Taryn is currently a veterinary student with her sights set on mobile veterinary services, and she holds a Bachelor's in Biomedical Science from LeTourneau University. Her veterinary training means she brings a deeper level of medical understanding to every visit.
Destiny

Destiny is a Texas A&M student with two dogs of her own back home, and caring for your pets while she's away from them is clearly something she takes to heart.
Krislyn

Krislyn is also a veterinary student at Texas A&M, and she brings hands-on clinical experience to the table, including comfort administering medications and injections. Between her own two dogs and two geckos, she's well-versed in caring for pets of every shape and size.
Why This Matters for Your Pet
This is exactly why we frame everything around "our team," not "me." When you book with Lucky Paws BCS, you're not crossing your fingers that one person's schedule lines up with yours — you're backed by a group of trained, certified, background-checked people who genuinely show up for your pets like they would their own.
Curious who might be caring for your furry (or scaly!) family member? Reach out and schedule a free meet and greet — we'd love to introduce you in person.
